A Gardening Service and Education Company

We are a gardening consulting and education company in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, serving the Milwaukee metro area. We specialize in teaching people about the importance of native plants, teaching people how growing their own food, and helping people find joy and satisfaction in whatever level of gardening they want to attain.

The Contented Violet seeks to fill a niche in the landscape and gardening world. On one hand, there are landscapers who will create and build a landscape and do lawn care, shrub trimming, and mulching for you. On the other hand, there are people who will sell you things to do it yourself and people who teach classes in how to garden. 

We want to combine the personalization of a landscape company with the emphasis on the do-it-yourself of a gardening store or extension class by coming to your home, helping you plan what to do with your property, and then teaching you how to do the things you want to do, working side-by-side with you when needed. We also offer support for gardeners-- we have the know-how and ability to tend your garden while you are away (without killing your plants like a well-meaning neighbor), and can do tasks like weeding or planting when time gets away from you.
