A Yard Walk- and- Talk
A 45-60 minute session in your yard (time based on a small suburban yard), going over what you have, generally how to care for them, and a discussion the types of things you want to do in your garden. At the end of this visit, you will receive personalized reference material listing:
Your existing plants and how to maintain them
The identification of invasive plants and a plan for removal (on your timeline)
Plans for your next season of gardening based on your needs, wants, and time
Lists of supplies to buy and places to buy them
Lists of suggested plants and places to buy them
Work-by-Side Education
We set and finish a specific task together, so that you can learn how to do something as it gets done. Tasks include:
Creating a bed out of lawn space
Building a raised bed
Transplanting plants or sowing seeds
Removing invasive plants
Thinning or harvesting vegetables
Thinning and weeding a perennial bed
Walking a garden store or perusing a plant catalog/website and developing a planting plan
Getting overgrown bushes under control
Setting up a rain barrel
Setting up a compost system
We can take care of your garden while you are away or unable to care for it.

Watering (the right amount for your plants)

Harvesting
"By-hand" methods of pest control
Babysitting off property of seedlings that need multiple-times-a-day watering
